Our home is in the harbor town of Grand Marais, Minnesota. We are conveniently located 1/2 block off the popular Gunflint Trail, 2 blocks from the north shore of Lake Superior, and 4 blocks from the center of town. Grand Marais is well known for fine dining, shopping, art galleries and theater. All of which are only a short walk from our front door. 

Our home was designed and built as a bed & breakfast.  All of our suites and rooms are large and spacious. Our guests often remark how wonderful the size of the house and rooms. Each room has its own private bathroom with shower or tub. The décor is tasteful and pleasant. Our common areas are furnished casually so guests feel completely at home. We invite you to warm yourself by the fireplace in our living room, listen to music, watch a movie, and most importantly just relax.

We offer a complimentary full breakfast every day. Our breakfasts are served in a communal setting at 8:30 am. Fruit is served everyday. Our main dishes alternate savory or sweet. Coffee lovers…MacArthur House serves a unique, fair trade, and organic coffee. We also offer a variety of Stash teas for the tea lovers.
